Things I Missed and New Things Too!

When the boys were up last time, after they got bored with the playground..........
.... we decided to take them on a shopping excursion to see if they could find anything they liked.  After considering for quite a while, they managed to find a couple of things.....

......... and we waited for a couple of minutes while Munchie posed with the M&M's near the front of the store (he is being the red M&M), then........
......... Curtie took a turn - only he was the other M&M!  After paying for their purchases..........
.......... they headed out to the parking lot to find the car.  They were successful and we travelled on...........
........ on to a restaurant for supper.  The boys were soooo good while we were there!  We had a good time - and I didn't have to cook!
Here is Aunt Peggy with Sheila - the chef at Aunt Peggy's retirement residence.... they have become quite good friends over the last couple of years.  Sheila is a really kind person and keeps an eye on Aunt Peggy between our visits.
Here is a sneak preview of our future home.  We will have different furniture of course, but this is the living room area.  I took some pictures while....
...... Poppa and Lydia were discussing some details - it appears they were enjoying it.  Here is........
...... the dining room area - again, it will look different with our stuff - but you get the idea.
Tara joined us at one of our Tuesday lunches.  She was here from Nova Scotia for a few days and it was fantastic that we got the opportunity to have a visit with her!
After lunch Poppa dropped Colleen and I off at the corner closest to the Atrium and we met this fantastic peacock - created by a local artist!  He was showing off his best side in a display at a Flower/Nursery Store.  Gorgeous!
Granny and Gramps were at the Casino last weekend - and we went out to have a visit.  This is their room in the hotel there - it doesn't really do the room justice though, it was really nice!  Due to the proximity of my birthday with their visit, they treated us to a buffet at the restaurant in the Casino.  It was really good, but we both ate too much!  Along the same line........
... Auntie Denise came for a visit and brought me some flowers, they're lovely!  Auntie Cecile gave me.........
..... me a mystery package, that turned out to contain some of her famous Christmas cake.  It is the best (and almost only) Christmas cake that I like - make that love - and I guess I hinted enough that she picked up on it.  What you see here is the almond icing which makes it even better.  There is a large variety of components - not to mention a lot of time and talent to create the best cake every year at Christmas and then share it with me!  A large basket arrived.........
...... from Mommy, Daddy, Munchie and Curtie!  Inside was a chocolate lover's variety.......
... of delightful treats that will last me for a long time!  Aunt Jeannie made a contribution to my sock fund - she is such as sweetheart!  Thanks to everyone who contributed to my day!

I have finished a pair of socks for Kev-Inn...
......... I hope he likes them.  And........
.......... Joey is eagerly anticipating the arrival of Curtie so he can go home and snuggle with him.
