Another One

What is this??
Can you guess??  Would you like another clue???  Okay......there seems to be a bowl full of........
........... little parts of something blue and white.  Have you guessed yet?  Want a close-up view of a part??  Okay........
.......... this was your final clue.  This part is waiting to be attached to the rest of the parts and.........
.......... meet Stanley!  A staff member at the Atrium (where Gramma Grace and Aunt Peggy live) is soon going to welcome a new baby into her family (her first child!), so after seeing Freddie and Joey, Aunt Peggy thought it would be nice to give the new baby (which will be a boy) a hand-knit teddy bear too.  Stanley is the result.  Do you like him??

Things I Missed and New Things Too!

When the boys were up last time, after they got bored with the playground..........
.... we decided to take them on a shopping excursion to see if they could find anything they liked.  After considering for quite a while, they managed to find a couple of things.....

......... and we waited for a couple of minutes while Munchie posed with the M&M's near the front of the store (he is being the red M&M), then........
......... Curtie took a turn - only he was the other M&M!  After paying for their purchases..........
.......... they headed out to the parking lot to find the car.  They were successful and we travelled on...........
........ on to a restaurant for supper.  The boys were soooo good while we were there!  We had a good time - and I didn't have to cook!
Here is Aunt Peggy with Sheila - the chef at Aunt Peggy's retirement residence.... they have become quite good friends over the last couple of years.  Sheila is a really kind person and keeps an eye on Aunt Peggy between our visits.
Here is a sneak preview of our future home.  We will have different furniture of course, but this is the living room area.  I took some pictures while....
...... Poppa and Lydia were discussing some details - it appears they were enjoying it.  Here is........
...... the dining room area - again, it will look different with our stuff - but you get the idea.
Tara joined us at one of our Tuesday lunches.  She was here from Nova Scotia for a few days and it was fantastic that we got the opportunity to have a visit with her!
After lunch Poppa dropped Colleen and I off at the corner closest to the Atrium and we met this fantastic peacock - created by a local artist!  He was showing off his best side in a display at a Flower/Nursery Store.  Gorgeous!
Granny and Gramps were at the Casino last weekend - and we went out to have a visit.  This is their room in the hotel there - it doesn't really do the room justice though, it was really nice!  Due to the proximity of my birthday with their visit, they treated us to a buffet at the restaurant in the Casino.  It was really good, but we both ate too much!  Along the same line........
... Auntie Denise came for a visit and brought me some flowers, they're lovely!  Auntie Cecile gave me.........
..... me a mystery package, that turned out to contain some of her famous Christmas cake.  It is the best (and almost only) Christmas cake that I like - make that love - and I guess I hinted enough that she picked up on it.  What you see here is the almond icing which makes it even better.  There is a large variety of components - not to mention a lot of time and talent to create the best cake every year at Christmas and then share it with me!  A large basket arrived.........
...... from Mommy, Daddy, Munchie and Curtie!  Inside was a chocolate lover's variety.......
... of delightful treats that will last me for a long time!  Aunt Jeannie made a contribution to my sock fund - she is such as sweetheart!  Thanks to everyone who contributed to my day!

I have finished a pair of socks for Kev-Inn...
......... I hope he likes them.  And........
.......... Joey is eagerly anticipating the arrival of Curtie so he can go home and snuggle with him.

News!!!

Here is the news we've been waiting for....

........ this is Poppa with our favourite real estate agent!  Yes - our house is sold.  So, we have been busy, busy, busy.  The packing is on on-going project....
......... there are boxes all over the place and as you can see, we needed my little ladder to get to some of the stuff we have amassed over the last 22 years!  I peeked into the cold room the other day.........
....... and found Smoothie and Crunchie hiding amongst my pasta.  They were worrying about being left behind and thought for sure, that we wouldn't miss them when we were packing the food.  And....
......... Mikey has been hanging out around the big bins to ensure his relocation with us.  These two.....
...... are too busy examining a little green fuzzy piece of something, to think about moving.  Freddie is making himself quite at home, but looking forward to meeting Munchie and going to his house.  Happy had gotten dressed to go for a car ride with Squeegie and was chatting with Freddie while he waited.  I think we will all miss Freddie when he goes.........
.......... he sits with Taffy watching TV before bed, and he hangs out.....
...... with the whole gang (only some of them here!) a lot of the time.  I'll don't think he'll be too lonely though, since there are a lot of other stuffies at Munchies house and.....
........ that little green patch of something, has developed into Joey - a little brother for Freddie and a best friend for Curtie!  I am working on a sweater for Joey now.  I did finish Munchie's socks.  Did I show them to you???
Taffy wasn't sure if I did or not, so she set them out for you to see.
