Belated Christmas

Christmas at our house came and went rather quietly.  We are so used to being in Florida just before or just after - it was strange being in Canada!  But we had Christmas dinner with Auntie Cecile and Uncle Mark - and it was yummy!  But, as usual, I didn't have my camera to get pics for you!
Squeegie loves Christmas.  He got lots of things to eat.  Auntie Denise sent him this stocking with snacks in it - and he didn't want to put it down.  Taffy told him that it would not magically fill up again, but I don't think he believed her - and wouldn't let her put it away.  We had our real Christmas the first week in January........
... the bears were watching something!
Yes - our little grandsons came to visit and there was presents!
Daddy had a couple of presents too, but he was relaxing while he opened them!
Mommy was supervising and handing out parcels to everyone - but just had to have this picture to show everyone how much taller she is than I am.
It took a while to open all the presents, but everyone had fun doing it!
Munchie modelled his orange ensemble for us - doesn't he look adorable!
And Curtie also modelled his for us.  As you can see, it is a little too short for this little guy who grows faster than I can knit.  Consequently, both boys left their sweaters here, so I could make them a little longer.  I'll post new pictures when I get them!

Hopeless!

I really haven't forgotten about my blog.  I simply haven't posted - no excuse - just busy doing other things!  Then I "cleaned" my computer (optimized) and for some reason lost my login and password to get into it.  I finally remembered (and took the time) to look it up...and here I am!

As you can guess by this photo - it has been quite cold here.  Squeegie and Taffy got out their winter coats, mitts and hats.  They look cute, but I sure miss going to Florida for the winter.  Hopefuly we will be on the road again next year!  We are still awaiting a call to give us the date of Poppa's cataract surgery, and he wants to make sure he gets the call, since the waiting list is quite long!  Besides that, he would like to have his new implants before he drives that far!

Just before Christmas, Poppa started a new project.....looks interesting doesn't it?
Can you see it here - all finished?  Look closely, he made a cupboard for more storage - perfectly sized to fit into the little space outside the downstairs bathroom door.  In a condo every little bit of storage space is important and this little cupboard is already full.  We're using it to store spare bottles of water, and tins of iced tea, and paper towels, and coffee pods, and filters for the humidifiers - and anything else that will fit in!
One evening  we went to Canadian Tire (the big store about 20 minutes from home).  When having lunch with Auntie Colleen and Auntie Cecile one day and listening to them chat about how much they loved their countertop ovens, I decided to look for one for us.  So, while Poppa hunted for wheel covers for the snow tires on the car, I checked out the countertop ovens - and here it is.  I'm absolutely in love with it and use it a lot!  For just the two of us, it is much easier to use, instead of heating the big oven.  The silly thing is, I had one at our old house, and didn't think I would have room in the condo - but, I do!
It got so cold here in Canada that Taffy got a snow suit!  She looks so cute!
And she loved it, so we got into the car and went looking at the Christmas lights.  This place was beautiful!
