Wow!

I just looked at the blog briefly and the picture astounded me!  The little boys are not little any more...both of them are taller than me!  Munchie is taller than Phil and Curtis is almost as tall as Phil!  I will try to get photos soon for you and perhaps some of my knitting as well!

Some More Muffs!

I have been busily knitting and Auntie Colleen has been busily decorating new Twiddle Muffs for our local hospital.  She has been very busy.  My computer seems to be acting very strange lately....I am getting old...and they keep changing things just when I have finally figured out how to do it since the last change!  Very annoying....I say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"  Oh well... I hope I have all of them here...if not I will try again!

This one has a girlie flair - well - maybe except for the snail!

This one is very pretty - that large fluffy thing is also a cat, but I didn't take the picture from a very good angle!

A fishie theme....

and on the other side as well.

From another angle...I thought I had missed this one - guess I got it twice!

Sooooo cute!

Bees - they are friendly and didn't sting me!

Breakfast anyone?

If you would rather have sausages..........

I love the little elephant peeking out from behind the button band....of course I love the rest of it too!  Auntie Colleen's imagination decorating these goes way beyond what I could come up with!

This side has a canine theme!

Look at the edge!  Not to mention all the other critters!  (Notice there is another bee!)

One of my faves - this side has a bear!

Beautiful lace and flowers...and a pussycat!

The other side is just as pretty!

This is a pile of squares I have knit = which will become a blanket for Munchie.  He stayed with us this summer to help Poppa with a project and his old blanket has definitely seen better days - it is quite old now and Munchie is about 6 feet tall now....needs a new one!

Meanwhile, back at the twiddle muffs!  Imagine the fun someone will have with all these ribbons and bells!

Wow!  Talk about weiner dogs!!!

This is what my table looked like when I was planning Munchie's new blanket!  Gosh there is still space on it...not any more!

I love this one....as long as the little lion stays happy!

The other side - attractive and fun together!

See the frog in this photo?  Auntie Maureen made it for me - on the bottom it says " Maureen '85 "

I have been using him every day since then!  The cup beside him holds my sponge on a stick and if you enlarge the photo you can read "From Maureen 1985"  Wow!  As you can probably tell he lives beside the kitchen sink - and even moved with us when we relocated into town.

No matter how hard I try to throw Auntie Colleen a curve ball - she comes up with a solution!

I thought the colors in this one would be a challenge - if so she certainly overrcame the challenge!

This is another of my faves - so cute!

This one is being overwhelmed by that large chrysanthamum...but the little fox doesn't seem to care!

Pretty colors....

Pretty decorations!

Brief Update....

This is one of Auntie Colleen's latest twiddle muffs...isn't it wonderful?

This is the other side - I almost kept this one!

Notice how well she matched the embellishments with the muff!

Even on the other side!

There is another lady knitting for the NICU at the hospital.  This is a little cradle - isn't it adorable?

Another twiddle muff - we all love the little doll!

I may have posted this one in the last blog - did I?

If you've seen this before - then just ignore it - but I really like it.

What can I say?  I told you she was very artistic!
This is the last outfit I made for the hospital.

More Muffs

Auntie Colleen is decorating Twiddle Muffs for the hospital.  I knit them, but decorating them is challenging and time-consuming...and the pics I am posting below will demonstrate what a fantastic job my artistic younger sister does of a task that I find tedious and frustrating!  Look....

This is the first one I sent to her before it was sewn into a muff shape.  What a wonderful job!

Now sewn...this is one side....
....and this is the other.

Second muff....even better than the first!

The other side - I love the fuzzy caterpillar ... don't you??

Muff No. 3.  First side - they just keep getting better!

And this side is just as beautiful!

Muff No. 4.  I thought she would be running out of ideas by now - but this one came back to me yesterday and was delivered by Auntie Cecile to the hospital today!

Second side...do you get it now.  I am the Production Manager, Auntie Colleen is the Fabrication Manager and Auntie Cecile is the Transportation Manager!

Thank you to both of them for their assistance in helping me and donating their time and abilities to the hospital.
This is Happy and Furball...they spend the day sitting on my bed....

....sometimes they turn around and look out the window.  Happy is very protective of little Furball as you can see!

Here is a recent shot of Lauren..isn't she gorgeous?!

This is a photo of Auntie Maureen and her grandson Trent.  He has recently enlisted in the Canadian military and this was taken before he left.  Pretty Granny and handsome young man!
