A Long Delay

Sorry for the long time lapse since my last post.  We had Curtie here for a few days and he kept us very busy!  We had a few days off and then Munchie stayed for a week.  He is returning home tomorrow, so he will be all ready for school next week.  I have some picture to share of both visits and will be posting soon!  Please check again in the next few days for an update!  See you soon!

More of the Same....

........ Poppa even took off ...........

....... the fronts from my drawers!  What on earth is he doing??  Taffy is getting interested in all sorts of things that previously held no interest for her.  She was supposed to be helping me set the table........

....... and instead..........

........ she was watching Dr. Phil!  And......

... I can't get Poppa to stop working!  The closet at the front door was rubbing at the top...........

........ so he took it right off, headed out to the garage and took a little off the top.  He then..........

.... brought it back in, put it in place....... and of course it worked perfectly!  However............

............ once in a while he takes a few minutes to relax in his new anti-gravity lounge chair.  Not to mention.........

.......... his projects turn out so well!  These look beautiful, and I love strolling up to the front door between rows of wonderful foliage and flowers!  On another topic....

.......... here is Kevin's blanket all finished.  He seemed quite pleased with it.  I gave it to him on his birthday.  I have also completed...........

....... another pair of socks for The Sock File.  These are made from Knit Picks Felici yarn in colorway Surf's Up.  In addition..........

......... I made these for Uncle Brian.  He asked for two pairs and this is the first of those.  I am currently working on his second pair.  Now finally..........

.............. here is a clue about those kitchen cupboards!

.......... I have been knitting as well as reading..........

......... I finished this sweater for Mildred - it was a hot day when I took the picture, so she didn't keep it on very long!  And............

.......... I found Poppa sweeping in his garage..........

........... and this is two of my cupboard doors!  The sawdust was the result of sanding.  Hmmmm!  And of course, once the cardigan was finished...........

.... I started knitting on the blanket that Kevin asked for about two years ago!

........ a wonderful, shady place to sit and...........

............ read a good book in the afternoon on a hot, summer day!  By the way, if you like suspense tinged with a tiny bit of horror and other weird stuff, take some time and read the Hodge trilogy by Stephen King.  He is still one of the best horror/suspense writers ever - well, at least in my opinion!  My suggestion is - don't read them out of order - start with Mr. Mercedes, next Finders Keepers and finishing up with End of Watch.  You'll wish there was more - but there isn't.  Squeegie and Taffy are.........

......... still trying to keep cool, and.........

........... Poppa has been busy........

............. taking the doors off my kitchen cupboards!  And......

........ even real, wild bears are striving to keep cool in the hot, hot days we've been experiencing lately!  (See the expression on Mama bear's face - I think she is saying to herself - "it's a good job he's so cute!)
