Catching Up Again

This is just a bunch of pictures of the little boys, that I have missed during the last while, but I want to share with you!
I showed you this one, but just couldn't resist posting it again!
Munchie qualified for his school's cross country running team - and this was taken before his first run....
.... this was taken after that same run.......our little guy looks kinda tired - but cute as a button in his team sweatsuit!
Curtie lost his first tooth - bottom right!
Munchie started getting his house ready for Hallowe'en.......
............if you look closely, you can see blood dripping down the window - and he is still adding more drops!
Curtie lost his second tooth!  This time bottom left..........
........ and that same day Munchie lost his third tooth!  Top left!  Honestly, that hole looks a lot bigger than the little tooth did!
 A charming Hallowe'en scene!  Yikes!
This is Munchie - not wanting to smile with that missing tooth - I love the smile you can see in his eyes!   And finally............
.......... here is a smile for the day!  Click on it to make it bigger so you can see it!

Oh My Dog!

I'm not sure who I feel more sorry for!  Do I feel sorry for Bam because he has to try to squeeze his ever growing body into a little space between the two booster seats in the car?  Or, do I feel sorry for Munchie because he is trying to play on his i-Pod and share the space with Bam at the same time?
I just had to laugh when I saw this picture though!  Poor things!

A Wedding!

After these......

...... little shoes disappeared from my front door ( Blackie's running shoes, and Munchie's flip-flops!) and during my long absence from blog-posting we attended a lovely wedding in the GTA.
Here is the bride and groom!  In case you don't recognize them - it is Nicole and Travis McAlear.  Travis is Auntie Jean's son.  He has lived in the city for quite a long while now and we don't see him very often - and were quite pleased to receive an invitation to the wedding.  The whole family was there.....
This is Poppa and all his siblings.  From left to right:  Uncle Ernie, Aunt Grumpy, Uncle Leonard, Auntie Denise, Tracey (Auntie Denise's daughter), Uncle Dave, Aunt Jeannie and Poppa.  Quite a crew!  And, of course, I think Poppa is the best-looking of them all (he is also the tallest!)!  The wedding was lovely and we had a great time - we mostly watched the younger folks dancing, but we did get on the dance floor a couple of times ourselves!  One more look............
Congratulations to the newlyweds - and we wish you a long, happy marriage!  Soon after ........
........ Poppa, along with his supervisor and advisor, got back to doing some chores

A Bunch of Munch(ie)

At long last, I am going to present a blog post about Munchie's visit!  I received this ........
...... picture of Blackie with an accompanying e-mail from Munchie to tell me that Blackie was all packed and ready to come for a visit.  And sure enough, next thing I knew..............
.......... Munchie was here watching...........
.......... some cartoon show on the TV while the relaxed in anticipation of some fun days while Munchie was visiting.  A lot of the time Munchie and Poppa were at the beach.  It was quite hot while he was here - back in August.  In the morning while Poppa was golfing he spent some time with me, but I think he found that a little boring!  I got photos...........
.......... he still loves blankets and played under Poppa's blanket............
...... then dropped it to play with Pumpkin and Chocolate......
........... they all seemed to have a great time together............
........ he was often busy playing on his i-Pad.............
........... or other games on my computer............
........ and one day I couldn't find him - until I saw the blanket - which was covering Blackie and Squeegie - start moving - yep - he was actually under there!  Of course..........
............ there was haircut day!  Does he look slightly apprehensive?  He wanted a mohawk cut - much to my personal dismay!  Anyway.........
............ the clippers/razor came out...........
.......... and under Poppa's watchful eye.........
..... and the application of some styling goop...........
........ our little charmer became a mohawk!  What beautiful blue eyes!  And then.........
.......... it was Poppa's turn to get his hair trimmed up - it didn't take very long!  There was also.....
............ the day they went to the miniature golf course.....
..... I stayed to watch them get started..........
......... Munchie was doing quite well!  As they.........
...... got further away, I walked home to prepare some supper for the hungry golfers!
I think one of his favourite things was the moment I let him buy Coca Cola in glass bottles!  After I said "Sure, you can have those", he informed me that he wasn't allowed to have glass bottles or pop when he was at home!  Oh well - kids are meant to be spoiled by grandparents - right?
As always happens, it was soon time for Squeegie and Blackie to have their last visit before the ride back to meet Mommy and send Munchie home to get ready for school!
And here.... courtesy of Auntie Cecile and Tara - here is a cat cartoon for you!

I Found Them!!!!!

I found the missing pictures!  I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out where they went and I had given up - which kinda depleted my inclination to blog.  But, this morning I realized that even though I had asked for it, the computer geeks had not installed Dropbox on my new computer - so of course, I decided to re-install - so I could easily access photos on my phone.  Once I had done that and clicked appropriately, I discovered all the missing pictures were there!  I don't remember moving them to Dropbox, but you can be sure that I'm glad I did!  So...........
...... I found a couple of cute pictures from Curtis's visit with us - this is him and Taffy playing Bakugan - it kept them busy for quite a while.  The computer in the background is the one which broke on me!  The computer worked fine, but a hinge broke and I couldn't open the lid!  Not much use to me like that.  Toshiba has quit making computers, so a replacement hinge could not be purchased to fix it.  Hence, I have a new Acer laptop and so far (aside from not having Dropbox!) I am very pleased with it.  I miss my lighted keyboard - but couldn't justify the expense and this one was very reasonable.  However, I digress............
........ and I loved this one.  We made a trip to the dollar store and Curtie really wanted these goggles with the breathing apparatus attached.... but, they came from the dollar store and they didn't work very well.  But he looked too funny wearing them!  And....
.... I rather liked this one of Poppa and Curtie at the table having a snack (except I missed the snack part - they both appear to be finished!).   You can see a project on the other end of the table - they barely had to move to enjoy their snack!   Poppa has been busy working on a project....
........ after Curtie left.  But in a couple of weeks............
............ he had Munchie to keep him company!  Look how much Munchie has grown!  That's it for now, but there will be more picture from that visit shortly!  Here is a smile for you....
Oh - yes - I'm still knitting - more on that too!

Oh Dear!

Much to my dismay - I guess - between my computer crashing and the battery in my camera going dead - I have lost most of the pictures of Munchie's visit with us!  We had such a nice visit - and no pics!  There seems to be only two.....
........... this one - Munchie and Poppa are trying to get the toy from his happy meal to work properly - I don't think they ever figured it out.  And another....
.......... from the same day - but neither of them are very good.  Poppa and Munchie had so much fun while he was here.  They went swimming every day, they tried out all the playground equipment in every playground around - even the one across the road from our old house, they had a ride on the little train at the park (and Munchie got an engineer's cap!), we all went shopping a couple of times and Poppa and Munchie went miniature golfing at a location close to us where we could also get ice cream cones since it was very warm during Munchie's visit.  So - to make up for the lost pictures.....
.......... here is a shot of the boys in one of the new outfits for school.  Munchie is the slightly taller one on the right in the grey pants and Curtie is in maroon pants.  Here is another picture........
......... taken in the school yard.  Munchie is third from the right in blue shorts and white shirt, while Curtie is on the extreme right in the hoodie.  The bottom insert on the right also includes Daddy!  Mommy just called and said Munchie qualified for the cross-country running team at his school.  He runs like a gazelle and loves doing it, so we're not surprised at all!  I'm still knitting on the blanket for Mommy and Daddy - pictures will follow.  But, I have finished the pair of socks that travel in the car with me and posted them in the sock file for further scrutiny....
........ they look like this.  Auntie Colleen will recognize them - she sees them every Tuesday while we are visiting Gramma Grace and Aunt Peggy!  And.........
...... also every Tuesday, Auntie Colleen, Poppa, Auntie Cecile (from left to right) and myself get together for lunch at the golf course.  Tuesday is the only day Poppa doesn't golf, but there are only two weeks of golfing left before the golf club closes for the season!  I wonder what he will do with himself then????
