Once Poppa got all that insulation out of the garage ceiling, what do you think he found?
Well - he found this duct pipe that went nowhere - it just blew air from the furnace into a void. And....
...... he found duct pipes connected by duct tape, but the tape had dried out and quit sticking - so air from the furnace/air conditioner was leaking out. And....
.... he found pipes that should have been connected, but weren't - more loss of air from the HVAC system. Is it any wonder that the bedroom over the garage was never quite warm or cool? Geesh!
Poppa set about taking all the duct work out, so he could add one register to the bedroom and correct the issues with the pipes. It took him a long time, and.....
.... Taffy and I finished another Twiddle Muff.....
......... I tried to take apicture of the inside, so you could see the stuff in there - but it didn't turn out very well. 😊
But, I did catch this interesting view. Once Poppa removed all the duct pipes there was a hole in the floor of the bedroom. I could envision all kinds of wildlife - bugs, flies, mosquitoes or maybe even a bat - sneaking into the bedroom form the garage - so I laid one of Munchie's books over the opening.... that book was mine when I was about his age and it was one of my most treasured books - there were bears on the front!
