......since I posted on my blog....there's lots of catching up to do...I'll try to keep it to just the highlights!
I just got the cameras and downloaded both of them. Then I sorted the photos by date and put them in folders. So this is from the first folder I downloaded. These are lovely - I'm not sure if they are now in the sock bin or if I have already given them away... but we'll figure that out later!
Partly done.
This is a shot of my knitting corner. Poppa gave up the light from his workshop/garage so I could have it for knitting! The pattern stand also has a magnifier (look closely - you can see it in front of the pattern) and a light. One of our neighbors gave it to me after her Mom died. Her Dad was kind enough to say I could have it. Her Mom used it for needlepoint. It is now one of my most favorite things!
One sock done - and - most of the people I know have two feet, so I'll keep on knitting!
That's better!
Annie and the boys were here and they all wanted socks. Curtie wanted green, so I purchased some nice green yarn from Knit Picks. The price there is reasonable and the yarn is very washable - but - plain green would be boring! Since my eyesight is not as good as it once was, I decided that rather than a lace pattern (not very suitable for a young man anyway!), that some wine colored stripes would be just the thing. So I began...
First foot done!
Second foot started!
Almost a pair!
And finally, a sock for each foot!
But, I had quite a lot of the wine color left, so...
I made a pair in the same colors, opposite striping. Kinda cool hey??
Of course, I had to have a Reese's peanut butter cup to keep my energy up!
Really... I did make two socks in each version - I guess I must have taken the photo so it looks like one pair with two different socks. 😉
Next, I retrieved the yarn for Munchie's choice of blue socks.
What a lovely bunch of socks! I bet Curtis wanted the wine ones and the green ones!
ReplyDeleteDad had a magnifier similar to that one. I always thought it was cool, too.
hee! I agree. For the most part, socks work best in pairs. I can think of exceptions though...
