New Stuff

Here...........

..... is a picture of Zipper - our 2008 Nissan Sentra.  We bought her new in the fall of  '08.  She made four trips to Florida and delivered us safely without any problems.  But, that was a lot of mileage for a little car and her suspension was getting loose, so she was becoming rattly and bumpy.  She had over 200,000 ks on her, and we knew her best days were over.  Yes, I know she had lots of life left, but Poppa and I are a bit fussy about our cars - and we need something we know will be reliable to get us to and from our winter place.  So............

........... let me introduce Spiffy!  He is a 2013 Ford Escape and we are madly in love with him already.  He is loaded...........

.... with all kinds of toys, but the important one (in our books) is the on-dash GPS system.  It talks to us and seems incredibly intelligent - the map comes up on request, but even when GPS in not activated Spiffy tells us what street we are on!  There are lots of other toys too, but I won't bore you with the details.  Also important to us.........

........ is that emblem on the steering wheel.   We drove Fords (and big brother Lincolns) for years.  When our Ford dealer switched to Nissan we switched with them.  We had no complaints with the Nissan vehicles at all - they were good, reliable and mostly trouble-free.  More recently we started having service issues, when we were dissatisfied with work performed at our dealership.  After considerable thought we decided to look at Ford products again.  I must say I am thrilled with the new vehicle - and "yes" it drives and handles like a Ford.  So..........

.......... Spiffy now sits proudly beside Poppa's Monster in our driveway!  And finally.........

......... I got this adorable photo of Munchie in my e-mail inbox yesterday.  He sent it to me to say "Thanks" for the little outfit I brought back from Florida for Buster.
